Australian Water Association (AWA)

The Australian Water Association (AWA) is the leading water sector body in Australia, representing over 10,000 water sector professionals across all disciplines.
Formed in 1962, AWA is an independent and not for profit association, providing a voice for water professionals around Australia on a wide range of sector issues including skills shortages, climate change, water management and reform and regulation.
AWA has an important role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of water professionals through an extensive range of technical seminars, courses and events.
Thousands of water professionals are actively involved in AWA’s specialist networks. The networks provide a forum for debate and best practice dissemination across specialist interest areas such as water recycling, catchment management and water quality monitoring and analysis.

Waste Management Association of Australia

Operating since 1991, the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) is Australia’s leading Association for waste management professionals. With over 1000 members, it represents more than 3000 individuals in the waste and resource recovery industry.
WMAA has a network of State Branches, National Divisions and Special Interest Groups that provide the opportunity for networking, communication and involvement in projects that encourage sustainable waste management.
WMAA represents a broad range of stakeholders and provides a forum for debate in the development of sustainable waste management solutions.
